- Does this include the payment gateway fee?
- Yes, and it is applied to every platform — nobody escapes it. Razorpay, Stripe or anyone else takes their cut regardless of which course platform you use, so it cancels out of the comparison. What genuinely differs between platforms is commission plus subscription, and that is what the table ranks on.
- Is a paid plan always cheaper than a free plan with commission?
- No. A flat subscription only beats a percentage once that percentage is worth more than the subscription. Below roughly ₹15,000 a month in course revenue, a free plan that takes 10% genuinely costs you less than any ₹1,499/month subscription. The calculator shows you the exact crossover point rather than hiding it.
- Where do the competitor rates come from?
- They are the same reviewed figures published on our individual comparison pages at /alternatives. Plan pricing moves and is often negotiable — especially for quote-based Indian platforms — so treat these as the published list rates and confirm your own contract.
- Does Prolaud really take 0% commission?
- Yes, on every plan including the free Starter tier. Payments settle from your own Razorpay account straight to your bank; we never sit in the money flow. You pay the gateway their standard processing fee, and nothing to us beyond your plan.
