What buyers see at checkout (India)

On an academy connected to Razorpay, students pay in rupees by UPI, card or net banking. This is the route from course page to enrolled, and where the GST invoice comes from.

Last updated Oct 2, 2026

This is the India version of “What buyers see at checkout”. If your academy is paid through Stripe, read that article instead.

From the course page to enrolled

  1. The student opens the course and clicks Enroll Now. If they are not signed in, they create an account (or sign in) first.
  2. The checkout page shows the course, the price in rupees and a Have a coupon? box. The button reads Pay ₹… & enroll, with “Secure payment via Razorpay” beneath it.
  3. Razorpay's checkout opens and the student pays by UPI, card or net banking — whichever methods are enabled on your Razorpay account.
  4. The page shows Verifying your payment… for a few seconds, then You're enrolled! The course is now under My courses.

Payment plans

If the course is on a payment plan, the button charges only the first installment, and the student approves a mandate — UPI Autopay or a card e-mandate — for the rest. See Payment plans.

GST invoices

If you have switched GST on (Billing → GST & tax invoices), a paid course order produces a tax invoice with CGST and SGST, or IGST, worked out from the buyer's state. Without GST the buyer gets a plain receipt.

Students outside India

Rupee checkout is for buyers in India. To sell to students abroad, connect Stripe too and give the course a dollar price.
