Commission climbs with your revenue
Lower tiers carry per-transaction fees that compound as monthly sales grow. Teams crossing ₹3-5 lakh / month feel the squeeze and start modelling the move.
We build Prolaud, so we're not neutral — but everything below is verifiable, and we've flagged where Graphy is genuinely the better pick. Decide for yourself.
Graphy ships from India for India, and they nailed several things: UPI-first checkout, an app-store presence, and an end-to-end course pipeline. What we hear most from teams leaving: the commission ladder bites as revenue grows, the live cohort experience still feels bolted-on, and the whiteboard / quiz template depth doesn't quite match what an Indian coaching centre or K-12 academy actually needs. Here's a workspace that ships the depth.

The honest verdict
Prolaud is the stronger Graphy alternative if you want to keep more of every sale and teach the whole loop, not just sell a course. Both are India-built with UPI and ₹ pricing — but Graphy's economics lean on a per-sale/commission model and its storefront is the centre of gravity, where live cohorts, a community feed and a whiteboard are the centre of ours. We settle payments straight to your own Razorpay with 0% taken by the platform, run live classes on LiveKit with recordings and a whiteboard, and bundle a CRM + marketing automation — starting free and rising to a flat ₹1,499/month. Graphy is genuinely better in one case: if you want its especially polished storefront templates and its creator ecosystem, and its per-sale economics suit your volume. For live-teaching-led creators who want 0% and a deeper classroom, this is the switch.

We've onboarded teachers from every category of platform. These are the same complaints, again and again.
Lower tiers carry per-transaction fees that compound as monthly sales grow. Teams crossing ₹3-5 lakh / month feel the squeeze and start modelling the move.
Recorded course delivery is excellent. The live cohort experience — polls, raised hands, in-class agenda, auto-chapter recordings, comprehension checks — isn't on the same level.
A whiteboard surface exists, but K-12 grade-band templates (KG number boxes, fraction circles, periodic table skeletons, algebra workspaces) aren't shipped out of the box.
Quizzes work, but entrance-prep-specific scaffolds (JEE Maths pacing, NEET Biology MCQs, GMAT data sufficiency) aren't pre-built. Coaching centres rebuild them from scratch.
Community tooling exists. Post-types (Announcement / Question / Win / Discussion), per-community notification levels, and the same dispatcher firing across in-app + email + WhatsApp aren't quite stitched the same way.
What you get instead
Graphy sells the course well and then hands the actual teaching to someone else — a rented video seat, a separate whiteboard, a chat app — none of which write back to the student record that took the payment. Here the room where you teach and the page where you sell are the same product: live classes + courses + community + whiteboard + quizzes + certificates + analytics, one login, one student record, one bill.
UPI native, WhatsApp notifications built in, Hindi and Tamil portals out of the box. INR pricing without the FX dance. Indian coaching centres and creators don't have to retrofit a US-built platform.
Your students, your courses, your orders — all exportable to CSV or JSON in one click on every plan (including the free Starter tier). No "upgrade to export" gate.
Most Graphy sellers we've talked to wanted a flat subscription with no per-sale percentage. That's what we ship — payments settle from your own gateway account straight to your bank, and the platform never sees the money.

Straight talk
Pick Graphy if a highly polished, conversion-tuned storefront is the heart of your business and you value its specific creator ecosystem and brand templates — and if its per-sale pricing model actually works out cheaper at your sales volume than a flat subscription. Graphy has invested heavily in the storefront-and-checkout experience. If your product is a catalogue of self-paced courses rather than live cohorts and community, that polish may matter more to you than our live-class depth — run your own numbers on the per-sale economics before switching.
Other options worth a look
We compare honestly against each of these too — so you can hold Graphy up against the whole field, not just against us.
How to switch
Most teams are fully migrated inside a weekend. You don't lose your roster, your courses, or your branding.
Step 1
Export your student roster from Graphy (most platforms ship a CSV under "Students" or "Members"). Map the columns to name + email + WhatsApp.
Step 2
Bulk-import the CSV into /dashboard/students. We dedupe by email so re-running the import is safe.
Step 3
Recreate your courses — the curriculum builder lets you drag modules + lessons, paste video embed URLs, and upload PDFs without a wizard. Most teams get 5 courses across in an afternoon.
Step 4
Apply your brand — logo, primary colour, custom domain. The portal-template picker has 7 starting points if you want to refresh the look while you're at it.
Step 5
Send a one-shot announcement to your students that you've moved, with the new portal URL. The in-app + email + WhatsApp dispatcher fires once; reminders auto-schedule if you want.
Stuck mid-migration? Email us — we'll walk through the CSV mapping or migration scripts with you on a call. No upsell.
The switching framework
Score each tool yourself, Graphy and us included — these are the questions that actually decide it.
Questions to ask before you switch
Does it ship live cohort tooling that respects classroom dynamics?
Is my data exportable on every plan, including the free tier?
Will my bill stay flat as my sales grow, with no per-sale cut?
Does it speak Indian-first (UPI, WhatsApp, INR, vernacular)?
Can I migrate over a weekend without losing my roster?

Start freeCommon questions
The dividing line is where the class happens. Graphy is built to sell and deliver what you teach; the teaching itself happens somewhere else, so the record that took the payment never learns whether the student turned up. Prolaud runs the live room inside the platform — attendance, doubts and progress land on the same student record as the purchase, which is what lets attendance weight an overall score and trigger a re-engagement nudge automatically. See the whole loop at prolaud.com/loop. This page also spells out where Graphy is genuinely the better buy.
Yes — UPI, INR pricing, app presence. We ship the same India primitives plus deeper teaching tooling: a multiplayer teaching whiteboard, quizzes with entrance-prep scaffolds, and a native live cohort room with polls + raised hands + agenda + comprehension checks.
They get a fresh portal on your custom domain with a one-shot 'we've moved' email + WhatsApp notification. The login is on the new portal, but their library + progress carry over via the migration import.
Your students access via the responsive portal on your subdomain — works on mobile browsers without a separate app install. If you need a native mobile shell later, we'll work with you on it.
If you're processing ₹5,00,000 / month on a Graphy tier with 3% transaction fees, that's ₹15,000 / month skimmed. Our paid plans are flat fees regardless of sales volume — at that level, you save ~₹10,000 / month after subscription costs.
Yes — paste your hosted video embed URLs into the course builder. We don't re-host video, so you keep your existing CDN. Per-lesson progress tracking activates from the day the student starts on the new platform.
