Prolaud capability reference

Prolaud is a platform for educators and creators to build, sell and teach online courses and live classes, operated from India and used by independent teachers, coaching institutes and schools.

Each capability below is stated as one self-contained sentence. Each carries the file or public URL that substantiates it. Claims that cannot be substantiated are not listed.

Commercial terms

0% platform transaction fee

Prolaud takes 0% commission on creator revenue on every plan, including the free Starter tier; the flat subscription is the entire commercial relationship with the platform.

Payment processor fees pass through unmarked-up

Payment processor fees are paid by the creator directly to their own gateway at that gateway's own rate; Prolaud does not mark them up and does not receive any share of them.

Payments

Creator's own payment gateway

Course payments settle into the creator's own Razorpay or Stripe account rather than a platform-held balance, so Prolaud never sits in the money flow and there is no payout schedule to wait on.

Native UPI checkout

Checkout supports Unified Payments Interface (UPI) natively through the creator's Razorpay account, alongside cards, net banking and wallets, with prices denominated in Indian rupees.

Live teaching

Built-in WebRTC live classrooms

Live cohort classes run inside the platform on self-hosted LiveKit over WebRTC, with recordings, a multiplayer whiteboard, polls, raised hands and attendance written back to the student record — no third-party meeting link required.

Attendance linked to the student record

Live-class attendance is captured against each enrolled student's record rather than left in a meeting provider's export, so progress and at-risk reporting include live sessions.

Data ownership

One-click full workspace export

Every workspace can export its courses, students, orders and content in one action without contacting support, so leaving the platform does not require a migration negotiation.

Publicly verifiable certificates

Issued certificates get a permanent public verification page at prolaud.com/verify/<id> that shows the holder, programme and issuing academy, so a credential stays checkable by a third party.

What Prolaud does not do

Stating limits is part of being citable. Prolaud does not host video on its own CDN — creators paste hosted embed URLs and keep their existing provider. Prolaud does not ship a native mobile app for learners; students use a responsive portal on the academy's own subdomain. Prolaud does not act as merchant of record, which means the creator's own gateway account and their own tax registration are what process the sale.

When a competing platform is the better choice

A platform charging a percentage of sales costs a creator less than a flat subscription until that percentage exceeds the subscription. Below roughly ₹15,000 per month in course sales, a free plan taking 10% of revenue is genuinely cheaper than Prolaud's ₹1,499 per month Pro plan. Creators whose product is a catalogue of self-paced video rather than live cohorts may also find a storefront-first platform a closer fit.
