# Collapsible sidebar

> The dashboard's screens sit in collapsible groups under a pinned Dashboard link. State sticks across sessions.

Dashboard sits at the top of the sidebar, always visible, one click away. Everything else lives in collapsible groups — Teach, Content, People, Grow, Public Site and Workspace. A plugin you switch on can add an item to a group, or a group of its own.

## What's where

- Teach — Courses, Live Classes, Quizzes, Assignments, Calendar, Teaching Tracker.
- Content — Recordings, Whiteboards (plus Presentations and Docs once those plugins are on).
- People — Students, Engagement, Communities, Inbox, Q&A, Leaderboard, Saved.
- Grow — Analytics, Announcements, Marketing, Wall of Love, Refer & Earn (plus Storefront and Certificates once those plugins are on).
- Public Site — Overview, Design, Pages, Blog, Testimonials, Site settings, Lead inbox.
- Workspace — Teachers, Manage Users, Billing & plan, Payouts, Settings, System status, Trash.

## Smart behavior

- Default-open: Teach, Content and People (the most-used sections). The rest start collapsed.
- The group containing the current page auto-expands.
- Collapsed groups still show a rolled-up count of pending items inside (e.g. unresolved questions under People).
- Open / closed state persists in localStorage across navigations and refreshes.
