# How payouts work (where your money goes)

> How a student's payment becomes money in your bank account: you connect your own Stripe or Razorpay account, the processor takes its standard fee, and the rest is paid out to you. Prolaud takes 0%.

Prolaud never holds your money. You connect your own payment account — Stripe, or Razorpay if your academy is in India — and when a student pays for a course or a storefront product, the charge is made on that account. Your processor deducts its standard fee and pays the rest to your bank on its own schedule. Our cut is 0%, on every plan.

## Connect an account

Open Payouts in your dashboard. Until an account is connected the page says “You're not getting paid yet” and offers two, in this order:

- Connect Stripe to get paid — the first card, with the key form already open. Student payments go straight into your own Stripe account, in US dollars, by card.
- Or connect Razorpay — the second card. Razorpay charges in rupees and is the option for academies in India.

Either one is enough to start selling, and you can connect both. Free courses, and courses you enroll students in yourself, need neither.

## The flow, with numbers

A student buys a $49 course from your site, and your academy is connected to Stripe. Here is what happens to that $49:

- The student pays $49 by card on Stripe's checkout page.
- Stripe deducts its standard processing fee. The rate depends on the card and on your Stripe account; Stripe's pricing page has the current figure.
- The rest lands in your Stripe balance and is paid out to your bank on the payout schedule in your Stripe dashboard.
- Prolaud takes $0. The money goes from the student to Stripe to your bank and never passes through an account of ours.

## What the Payouts page shows once you're connected

- The Stripe card, with a Connected badge, the state of the webhook and your Stripe account ID.
- International earnings (USD) — the total received and a table of recent payments (date, customer, method, amount, status), pulled live from your own Stripe account, with a View on Stripe link.
- If Razorpay is connected, a second table — Your earnings — lists the rupee payments, pulled live from your Razorpay account.
- Whichever account is not connected yet stays one click away underneath.

## When the money reaches your bank

Payout timing belongs to your processor, not to us. Stripe pays out on the schedule shown in your Stripe dashboard; Razorpay settles on its own cycle. Prolaud holds nothing in between, so there is nothing for us to release or delay.

## How to verify our 0% commitment

Every payment on the Payouts page is read straight from your processor, so you can check any row against your own Stripe or Razorpay dashboard. There is no platform-fee line because we do not take one. You pay us for the platform through your plan, not through your sales.

> **Note:** If a number in Prolaud ever disagrees with your processor's dashboard, email hello@prolaud.com. We treat that as an urgent bug.

## Refunds

A refund is issued on your own payment account. For a Stripe order, use the Refund button on Storefront → Orders: the money goes back to the buyer and their access is removed. We charge nothing for a refund; whether the processing fee comes back with it is your processor's policy.

## Stuck?

The Payouts page has a “Stuck on payments?” box. Type what you need and click Send to support — it goes straight to hello@prolaud.com with your account details attached, and a person replies.
