# Invite an instructor

> End-to-end invite flow. The recipient gets a welcoming email, sets a strong password, and lands inside your workspace dashboard.

## Send the invite

Open the Instructors page (/dashboard/faculty) and click Add instructor. Fill in name, email, phone number, and role (instructor or admin). Add a short bio + social links if you want — they'll appear on the public instructor card.

Hit Add & send invite. We send the recipient a workspace-branded email (not a confusing 'reset your password' email) with a 7-day link.

## What the recipient sees

- An email titled '<you> invited you to <workspace>' — workspace-branded, not platform-branded.
- Clicking the link lands them on /p/<tenant>/accept-invite/<token> inside your portal.
- They pick a password (zxcvbn-validated, min strength 'good').
- We provision the user record in your workspace + sign them in.
- Instructors + admins land on /dashboard; students land on /p/<tenant>.

## Multi-tenant teachers

If the same email is already an instructor at another workspace on the platform, we surface a soft notice — no duplicate account is created, but the recipient still has to opt in to your workspace. Each workspace keeps its own copy of the profile so changes here don't propagate sideways.

> **Note:** Email is locked after invite. To change it, remove the instructor and re-invite.

> **Note:** Paying a teacher a commission? Their terms become a signed agreement, and you transfer their share manually — payouts are not auto-split from student payments. See 'Teacher commissions & payouts'.
