## Open the blog editor

Open /dashboard/blog and click New post. Or, from the blog list, click any existing post to edit.

## Fill the basics

- Title — your H1, also the default meta title and OG title
- Slug — auto-suggested from the title; override if you want a shorter URL
- Excerpt — one-paragraph preview shown on the blog index and used as meta description fallback
- Cover image — appears at the top of the post and as the OG share preview if you don't set one explicitly
- Tags + categories — free-form labels; visitors can filter the blog index by them
- Body — Tiptap-powered rich-text editor (formatting, lists, links, images, code blocks)

## Draft, schedule, or publish

- Save as draft — visible only to you. The blog index never shows drafts.
- Set scheduledFor — pick a future date/time. Our nightly cron auto-publishes when the time comes.
- Publish now — goes live immediately. Visitors see the post on /blog and /blog/<slug>. Sitemap and JSON-LD update.

## Pin a post

Toggle Pinned on. The post sticks to the top of /blog. You can pin up to three at once — extras are queued (newest pinned wins).

## Reading time + author

Reading time auto-calculates at 220 words per minute. Author is whichever workspace user is editing the post — appears as a byline with avatar.

> **Note:** Comments are on by default. Toggle Allow comments off per post if you want a comment-free article.
