# Proctoring

Automated proctoring produces evidence, not verdicts: a flagged moment is something for a human to review, and treating a flag as proof is how honest candidates get penalised for looking away.

It also carries a privacy cost that has to be disclosed: recording a candidate's camera and screen is personal data, and where that evidence is stored and for how long matters as much as the detection itself.
