> **Full disclosure:** We make Prolaud, so we are not a neutral referee. We have tried to be fair: everything we say about TagMango comes from its own public pages, read on 15 October 2026, and we say so each time. We do not quote TagMango's prices here; they change, and the dated figures sit on our TagMango page (/alternatives/tagmango). Before you decide, check TagMango's current site yourself.

Say you teach yoga, handwriting, spoken English or personal finance, and over the last year you built a paid community on TagMango. You run a seven-day challenge every month, members post their progress, and the challenge sells your longer programme. It works. But two things keep nagging at you. When something goes wrong, you are not getting the help you need as fast as you need it. And as your community grows, the platform's share of your income seems to grow with it.

This guide is for that creator. It is not a list of reasons to hate TagMango; it would be a weak article if it were. It sets out what TagMango does well, the specific points where creators get stuck, a feature-by-feature comparison with Prolaud, how your challenge maps across part by part, and a checklist for moving your community in a weekend without losing your members along the way.

## What TagMango does well

Credit where it is due. TagMango understood early that people do not come back to a course; they come back to a habit. As of 15 October 2026, its homepage promotes habits, challenges, points, badges and leaderboards under a "Level Up" theme. That is the right idea. A member who checks in every morning, sees a streak and climbs a leaderboard is a member who renews.

Its challenges are also a well-shaped sales tool. The public TagMango challenge landing pages we read on 15 October 2026 sell a low-priced challenge with a clear day-by-day agenda, promise a completion certificate, and lead into a longer programme at the end. That funnel — a small, easy yes, a few days of results, then a bigger offer — is one many Indian creators use well, and if you built it on TagMango you already know how to run it.

So if you are leaving, you are not leaving because the idea is wrong. You are looking for a better home for an idea that already works. That changes what you should compare: not "does it have a community" but "will my challenge, my members and my funnel work as well or better, with less cost and more control".

## Where creators get stuck

### 1. Support

We will not describe anyone else's support; you know your own experience better than we do. What we can say is how to judge it before you commit to any platform, including ours. Write down the last three problems you needed help with — a payment that did not show up, a member who could not log in, a challenge that did not start on time — and send the same kind of question to the platform you are considering before you move. Notice how you reach a person, how quickly a useful answer comes back, and whether the answer solves the problem or only acknowledges it. On Prolaud, if you want help with the move itself, ask us and we will help you move.

### 2. Cost, and where it comes from

Cost on a creator platform has three parts: the plan fee, any commission on each sale, and the payment gateway's own charge. As of 15 October 2026, TagMango's pricing page states that it charges a commission on sales on most of its plans, and lists a custom domain as a paid setup that is charged every year. It also lists Challenges and a Habit and Task Tracker only on its top (Ultimate) plan, with Gamification starting on its Advanced plan. If challenges are the heart of your community, that tells you which plan you are really on. For the exact figures, see our TagMango page (/alternatives/tagmango), which keeps them dated.

The habit worth building is to do the sum yourself: take what you sold last year, apply the commission on your current plan, add the plan fee and any setup costs, and look at the total. Then do it again for the year you are planning, when your community is bigger. Commission grows with every sale; a flat plan fee does not. Prolaud takes 0% commission on sales on every plan, and your students pay straight into your own Razorpay (India) or Stripe account. You still pay your payment gateway's standard fee, as everyone does. More on this in why zero-commission matters (/blog/zero-commission-course-platform-india).

### 3. Students in an app, or on your own web address

Where do your members actually meet you? Look at how they reach your community today: an app they downloaded, a link, your own domain. Each has trade-offs. An app gives you an icon on the phone; it also puts a store, a login and someone else's brand between you and a new student. Your own web address is something you can print on a poster, say in a reel and rank on Google, and it stays yours if you ever move again.

On Prolaud, your academy lives on its own web domain, under your name. Students sign in on your site. There is no app to download: it is a web app students can add to their home screen, so it sits on the phone like any other app, without a store in the way. For creators in smaller towns, where phone storage is precious and every extra step loses a sign-up, that matters more than it sounds. Read more on running a white-label academy (/blog/white-label-course-platform-india).

### 4. Live-class depth

On the public TagMango challenge pages we read on 15 October 2026, the daily check-ins happen elsewhere — for example in a WhatsApp group or on Zoom — rather than on the page itself. That is common, and it works, but it splits your challenge across three places: the page that sold it, the chat where people post, and the call where you teach. For what TagMango offers for live sessions today, check its current site.

On Prolaud, live classes happen in Prolaud's own classroom, with a whiteboard, attendance and recordings, and a recap of each class is posted to the community afterwards. The check-in lives on the challenge itself. Your students do not need to be in three places to do one day's work.

## Feature by feature: TagMango and Prolaud

This table compares dimensions, not numbers. The Prolaud column is what Prolaud does today. The TagMango column says only what TagMango's own public pages said on 15 October 2026; where we have nothing first-hand, it says to check TagMango's site, and you should.

## What your community looks like on Prolaud

The community is where your members spend their days, so it deserves more than a row in a table. On Prolaud, the community (/features/community) opens on a wall. Members post photos, video links, polls and questions; others react and reply. You organise it into spaces under headings you choose — Daily practice, Share your work, Doubts, Wins — the way you already think about your group. View counts on each post tell you what people actually read, and a quiz of the day (a poll with a right answer) gives everyone a small reason to open the app every morning.

For you as the teacher, a "Needs you" strip at the top gathers what is waiting for you, so you are not scrolling the whole wall to find it. You can make trusted members moderators, and you can turn on approval for people joining and for posts, which is useful in the first weeks of a new community. Across the top of the community, Sparks — short vertical videos of a minute at most — give you a quick way to post a tip, a demo or a nudge without writing a long post.

Private conversation moves into Messages (/help/community-messages): community chat spaces, direct messages with academy rules on who may message whom (you decide, for example, whether students may message each other), voice notes, pinning, holding a message for review, and an Activity inbox that collects what needs your attention. Under every lesson there is a "Discuss this lesson" link, so questions about the material land next to the material. And a student's course progress is shared to the community only if the student agrees to it.

Then there is the part TagMango's homepage rightly puts front and centre: levelling up. On Prolaud, members earn XP, levels and rewards (/help/xp-levels-rewards) for real learning — lessons finished, live classes attended, quizzes and assignments done — and for helping others in the community, not just for posting. Levels can be renamed to suit your subject (a music teacher's levels need not sound like a coding bootcamp's), and there are streaks, weekly quests, badges, houses for team competitions, a reward shop where members spend coins, and a kids mode for younger learners. Everyone appears on one academy-wide leaderboard.

## How a TagMango challenge maps to a Prolaud challenge

This is the part most creators worry about, so let us take a typical challenge apart piece by piece. A public TagMango challenge landing page, of the kind we read on 15 October 2026, has five parts: the page that sells it, a day-by-day agenda, daily check-ins that happen somewhere else, a completion certificate, and an upsell into a longer programme. Each has a direct home on Prolaud.

*Every part of a typical challenge has a direct home on Prolaud, and the check-in moves onto the challenge itself.*

**The challenge parts on the left are those found on public TagMango challenge pages read on 15 October 2026.**

| Part of your challenge | How it works on Prolaud |
| --- | --- |
| The sales page | Sell the challenge on its own page through a store product, paid into your Razorpay or Stripe account |
| The day-by-day agenda | Build the challenge from a course: one day per lesson; finishing the lesson checks the student in |
| The length | Pick a 5, 7, 21 or 30-day plan, or a habit with no end for ongoing practice |
| Daily check-in | Each student checks in on the challenge with a photo or a few words; you can require your approval before a check-in counts |
| Keeping people going | Streaks, a morning reminder and an evening nudge, plus XP on the academy leaderboard |
| Seeing who has fallen behind | Your progress grid shows every student, every day; one click sends a Nudge |
| Live sessions | Teach in Prolaud's own classroom with a whiteboard, attendance and recordings; the class recap is posted to the community |
| The certificate | Issued automatically when a student finishes, with a public verify link they can share |
| The upsell | On the last day, the challenge offers your next course |

*The teacher's progress grid: who checked in on which day, and a one-click Nudge for anyone who has slipped.*

The biggest practical change is the check-in. When a challenge's check-ins happen in a WhatsApp group, you read every message by hand to see who did the task, and the proof scrolls away by evening. On Prolaud, the check-in is a record: the student posts a photo or a few words on that day of the challenge, the streak updates, and your grid shows it. If your challenge needs proof — a handwriting page, a meal photo, a practice log — turn on approval and each check-in waits for you to accept it.

Building the challenge from a course is the other shift. If you already have a seven-day agenda, you already have seven lessons. Put each day's video, worksheet or instructions in a lesson, and the challenge simply walks students through them one day at a time. When a student finishes the day's lesson, they are checked in. Our community challenges guide (/help/community-challenges) walks through the builder step by step.

## How to move in a weekend

A move feels big, but most of it is a few hours of focused work. The rule that makes it safe: your old community stays open until the new one is ready, so your members never land on an empty room. Here is a checklist that fits into a weekend. Our switching guide (/help/switching-to-prolaud) and bring your community to Prolaud (/help/bring-your-community-to-prolaud) cover each step in more detail.

*A weekend move: export on Friday, set up and rebuild on Saturday, invite on Sunday, day one of the challenge on Monday.*

### Friday evening: gather what you own

- Put together your member list as a CSV file with at least each member's name and email. Check TagMango's current site or ask its support how to export your members; your payment records and contact lists can help you fill gaps.
- Save your best-performing challenge agenda: each day's task, video links, worksheets and the message you send at the start of each day.
- Copy the posts and resources your members return to most, so you can repost the important ones in the new home.
- Write the welcome post your members will see first: what is the same, what is new, and the date the old community closes.

### Saturday morning: set up your academy

- Create your academy on Prolaud. It starts with a 14-day free trial, and no card is needed.
- Set up your academy's own web domain (check which Prolaud plan you need for it before the weekend).
- Connect your own Razorpay account (or Stripe, if you sell abroad) so students pay you directly, with 0% commission taken by Prolaud.
- Create your community and its spaces under headings that match how your group already talks: practice, doubts, wins, announcements.
- Choose one or two trusted members as moderators, and turn on join and post approvals for the first few weeks if you want a calm start.

### Saturday afternoon: rebuild one challenge

- Turn your best challenge's agenda into a course, one lesson per day.
- Create the challenge from that course and choose its length: 5, 7, 21 or 30 days, or a habit with no end.
- Decide whether check-ins need your approval, and set the course to offer on the last day.
- If you sell the challenge, put it on its own page through a store product.

### Sunday: invite your members

- Import your member CSV straight into the community; each member is emailed an invite to it.
- Post your welcome post first, then a quiz of the day, so the first visit has something to do.
- Post a short message in your old community and in your WhatsApp group with the new link.

### Monday onward: day one, side by side

- Start the challenge. The morning reminder goes out, students check in, and your grid fills.
- Run both homes side by side for a few weeks. Post in the new one first; use the old one only to point people across.
- Close the old community on the date you announced, and not before your regulars have moved.

> **Old posts are a fresh start:** Community feeds rarely move cleanly from one platform to another. Most creators carry their members, their courses and their challenge plans, repost the few resources that matter, and treat the new wall as a fresh start with a strong welcome post. If you would rather not do the move yourself, ask us and we will help you move.

## When TagMango is the better pick

Being honest about this is the point of a guide like this one. Stay on TagMango if your current plan, its costs at your expected size and the support you get all work for you; a move costs time and some attention from your members, and there is no prize for switching for its own sake. Stay if your members are settled in TagMango's app and like it, and your sales do not depend on people finding you on the web. And stay if you are in the middle of a big launch or a long programme: never move a community halfway through something your members paid for. Finish it, then decide.

Prolaud is the better fit when the reasons in this article are your reasons: you want to stop paying commission on every sale, you want your academy on your own web address with no app to download, you want challenges, gamification and live teaching in one place rather than spread across a page, a chat and a call, and you want help moving.

## The short version

- TagMango gets the idea right: habits, challenges and levelling up keep members coming back.
- Compare the full cost: plan fee, commission on every sale and setup charges, at today's size and next year's. TagMango's dated prices are on our TagMango page (/alternatives/tagmango).
- Test support before you move, with a real question.
- Decide whether your students should meet you in an app or on your own web address.
- Rebuild your best challenge first, invite members in one go, and run both homes side by side for a few weeks.

[Start free](https://prolaud.com/signup) — Start with a 14-day free trial, connect your own Razorpay, and build your first challenge from a course. 0% commission on every plan. And if you want a hand, ask us and we will help you move.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Prolaud a good TagMango alternative for creators in India?

Yes, if you run a community and challenges and want to keep more of what you earn. Prolaud takes 0% commission on sales on every plan, students pay into your own Razorpay or Stripe account, your academy lives on your own web domain, and challenges, a community wall, XP and a live classroom sit in one place. If TagMango's plan, support and app already work well for you, staying is a reasonable choice.

### Can I run challenges on Prolaud like I do on TagMango?

Yes. A Prolaud challenge can be built from a course, one day per lesson, and runs for 5, 7, 21 or 30 days, or as a habit with no end. Students check in each day with a photo or a few words, keep a streak, get a morning reminder and an evening nudge, and receive an automatic certificate with a public verify link when they finish. You see everyone on a progress grid and can nudge anyone who falls behind with one click.

### Does Prolaud charge a commission on sales?

No. Prolaud takes 0% commission on sales on every plan. Students pay straight into your own Razorpay (India) or Stripe account, and you pay only your payment gateway's standard fee on each payment. As of 15 October 2026, TagMango's pricing page states a commission on sales on most of its plans; see our TagMango page for its dated figures.

### How much does TagMango cost compared with Prolaud?

We do not quote TagMango's prices in this article because they change. Our page at /alternatives/tagmango lists the figures we read on TagMango's own pricing page, with the date. When you compare, add up the plan fee, the commission on your sales and any setup charges, such as a yearly custom-domain setup or a one-time branded-app setup, at your current size and at the size you are planning for. Prolaud starts with a 14-day free trial and takes 0% commission on every plan.

### Will my members need to download a new app?

No. Your Prolaud academy lives on your own web domain. Students sign in on your site, and they can add it to their phone's home screen as a web app, so it opens like any other app without a trip to an app store.

### How do I move my members from TagMango to Prolaud?

Put together your member list as a CSV with names and emails (check TagMango's current site or support for how to export it), then import it straight into your Prolaud community. Each member is emailed an invite to the community. Post a link in your old group as well, and run both side by side for a few weeks before closing the old one.

### Will my old community posts move across?

Usually not. Community feeds rarely move cleanly between platforms. Most creators carry their members, courses and challenge plans, repost the few resources that matter most, and start the new wall with a welcome post and a quiz of the day.

### Can I keep my daily live sessions?

Yes, and they can move into the same place as the challenge. Prolaud has its own live classroom with a whiteboard, attendance and recordings, and a recap of each class is posted to the community afterwards, so members who missed it can catch up without leaving your academy.

### Can someone help me move?

Yes. If you would rather not do the move yourself, ask us and we will help you move. Our help articles on switching to Prolaud and bringing your community to Prolaud also walk through each step if you prefer to do it yourself.

### Does Prolaud have points, badges and leaderboards?

Yes. Members earn XP and climb levels (which you can rename to suit your subject), keep streaks, complete weekly quests, collect badges, compete in houses and spend coins in a reward shop; there is a kids mode for younger learners. Everyone appears on one academy-wide leaderboard. XP comes from real learning, such as lessons, live classes, quizzes and assignments, and from helping others, not only from posting.
